Arriving at the First Destination

We spend so much time here in the Dakotas under clouds and indoors. Spring and Summer flowers are a balm to my senses, although I needed more than a balm to get me through the first leg of my journey. Creating a website is a challenge for someone with no background in website development and no real coding experience. I guess I should feel lucky that I only locked myself out of the admin once and crashed the site once. Still early days though. I have purchased tutorials and sought out free ones to help me with the challenges I’ve faced in creating what you see so far.  What seemed glaringly obvious to the writer/presenter of the tutorial was like looking through fog for me. I spent a lot of time talking, okay, yelling at my computer screen before I was finally able to make things work the way I wanted. I’ve created my website using WordPress, WooCommerce and Elementor with an Astra theme. Integrating with Facebook/Instagram and Pinterest was nearly my undoing but I think I have them working for now – Pinterest is questionable but I can see pins, so I guess that means it’s working.  So please, check out Rustic Junk and Treasures on Facebook, Pinterest and instagram and let me know what you think and what you would like to see. Onward!
